Membrane Switch Assemblies

Valmark is a leader in the development of control panels for the electronics, medical, office products and automotive instrumentation industries. Innovative engineering and the rise of cutting edge materials and equipment allow us to deliver the longest-lasting, most visually attractive control panels in the industry. We excel in several types of control panels - membrane switches, elastomer touch panels and PCB panels.

THE CONTROL PANEL EXPERTS
Our staff is well-qualified to consult with you about options for materials, panel construction, design, engineering, safeguarding methods, graphics, variables on product life expectancies and cost efficiencies. Valmark's work team approach has been responsible for several innovations that greatly improve product reliability and significantly reduce manufacturing costs. Your project gets the attention of a team of experts in engineering, materials, manufacturing, quality assurance and the latest in R&D.

Our engineering group is equipped with broad-based, multi platform CAD/CAM technology, so we can work with you at the early stages of product development to achieve the best custom designs for your applications.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS TO EXTEND SWITCH LIFE
Life expectancy of switch assemblies is close to 5 million cycles. The typical graphic overlay portion, however, has a life expectancy of only one million cycles. Valmark's engineering and R&D staffs have been working closely with overlay film manufacturers such as GE, Autotype and ICI to create longer lasting overlay panels. Together, we have developed processes of handling, coating, forming and cutting to successfully produce entire touch panel assemblies which exceed 5 million cycles - multiplying the life of our customers' products by a factor of five or more.

UNIQUE INKS AND DIELECTRIC COATINGS
Valmark's unique dielectric coatings provide insulation that can be selectively printed for shielding and shroud applications. We have also successfully developed methods of coating silvers and encapsulating conductors. As a result of these unique methods:
Silver migration and oxidation is inhibited.
Finished products are able to withstand higher humidity.
Graphic overlay and printed circuitry assemblies are more flexible.
The end result is a top-quality custom product that meets every one of your technical and aesthetic specifications.
